Immortalized by paint!
My mom surprised me by having this picture made into a painting weeks before my surgery in December. It’s her favorite picture of me, always has been. For some reason she says I look like a famous somebody. It hangs in our living room.
I bet you can’t guess my age in this picture!
The embarrassing thing about having a sister is your mom thinks she can get away with dressing you like twins.
Photobucket had some really old photos I forgot were there. Like these, check out 19 year old me at a Chinese New Year dinner in downtown LA, my old VP (boss) invited a few coworkers and I. I remember having an awesome time trying out exotic foods for the first time. Taken with cheap flip phone camera, member those?
Don’t think I’ve ever posted any of picture of the ex but there he is. Apparently old photobucket account has lots of pictures of us during the first couple years of dating.
Totally logged into my old photobucket too.
The sister and I in summer of ‘05. On our way to a night luau.
Digging through my old pictures I was able to find the ex and I dancing. Goes with today’s thursday theme post
I was so young. I had so much fun living my 17’s.
My first memory of the ocean was at age 4. I mean I remember going to Manhattan Beach even younger than that. I loved the water, the ocean breeze, and the smell. My dad was like a fish in the water and passed that on to me sister and I. But the ocean was something bigger. At this age it seemed like infinity and beyond. We vacationed in Cabo. My dad rented a boat to take us out to sea. I remember there was a point where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific met. It was awesome seeing how the waves met coming toward each other. The ocean was exciting. Kinda scary at the same thing for toddler me. The water was a mixture of green and blue. The ocean is beautiful. I hope to relive this again some day.
Looking through the back of her closet my mom came across this dress.
Whats more throwback than trying on your mom’s old wedding dress?
“Look ma, it fits!” (Ignore my green booty short undies please.)
She was 23 the last time she wore this, I 26. I hope my mom didn’t get swept up in the wedding jumbo from last night. Wouldn’t want her to get any ideas.
A good dry cleaning and I’d most likely rock this dress today.
Its this pipsqueak’s birthday on Saturday. Can’t believe how fast time has flown! 12 years old!
I don’t think the nephew and I could be closer than we already are. I swear you’d think he was mine. Drives my sister crazy how many things we have in common. We exclude her of our bonding time.
He’s going to a water park tomorrow and I’m kinda jealous. I’d go if my leg wasn’t still on Bambi mode and its a risk of me slipping. Hopefully we could go on my birthday next month.
Anyway, I love this kid so much. And I’m forced to buy him a cool xbox game.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!
Old festive avi.
I love everything about fireworks, lighting them up and watching them in the sky.
Fact: I have a few burns from illegal Mexican fireworks. Once I lit them and stepped away they either came back at me or just the case of short fuses with no time but just to turn my face away.
This day needs more smiles.
I love all smiles. I don’t have a specific “that one smile”. They are all my favorite and everyone’s smile gets to me.
Smiles are contagious!
This is my old friend Mayra. She always knew how to make me laugh. We were very close during high school. Unfortunately haven’t had any contact since.
I was all smiles this day. It was the day I had my picture taken for the senior hall of fame for prettiest smile. I was surprised to be voted. Probably the only evidence of me attending this school. Senior year was a blast. Even though I didn’t participate in any dances or festivities.
I learned two very good lessons this night, 1. never go clubbing with your boyfriend (or maybe this particular boyfriend) and 2. If you see a good guy friend don’t walk up to him and greet him ‘cause you will be pinched very hard on your exposed back.
I don’t know what possessed me to wear this outfit, oh yeah I was in high school. I couldn’t have been older than 16.
Me on my 20th birthday.
This was probably at my skinniest. 98 pounds. These were definitely some dark times. I remember not wanting a cake or anything but I did it to please my mom.
Photo bomb by the nephew getting a taste of my cake.
Here’s another one of us, this time with Paulette. Seems like we always posed for pictures in the same spot. I think we both had most of our classes upstairs. This was taken either before lunch or after lunch. We’re standing in front of the second pair of stairs. Good times!
I think this was sometime between 2002-2003.
Vero and I were very close during high school. Our sisters had a falling out and she and I lost touch over the years. I think we’re in good terms. I seen her at a burger diner while I was with my ex a couple years ago, and we greeted each other with a hug. I was happy to see her. It’s moments like this that I’m tempted to open a facebook.
I dedicated to the lipliner most of my high school years. Haha
This was the last time I was in Mexico. Almost 7 years ago.
One Memorial Day weekend. Famiy from San Fernando Valley and San Diego got together for a weekend of fun. We used to stay at our ranch in the middle of nowhere to camp. These kinds of good times need to be repeated!
